April 2016 Income/Expense Report
Hey guys! You’re here because you’ve signed up to receive our monthly income & expenses reports.
The primary goal of these income reports is to give you an idea of how we manage our online endeavours, and to give you an indication of how much it costs to live and travel in the countries that we do. We figured they will also be a great motivator for us to keep striving towards bigger numbers in terms of income at the end of every month.
If you’re new to the blog, you’ll see that our main source of income is our content creation agency that we built-up from scratch back in late 2012. You can read more about how we make money online here.
Anyway, let’s get down to business…
The report below is a breakdown of our total income for the month of April 2016 as well as a rundown of our expenses and it also states the profit or loss figure after all is said and done.
If you’d like to see our past Income reports then head on over here to check them out!

Comments:
Greetings from the Balkans….specifically Ohrid, Macedonia.
The income report for April details our income and expenses from travelling in Greece and Albania.
INCOME
€7,955.20 in total income for this month.
That’s about €200 less than in March.
It was a pretty steady month again with nothing major to report on. All the drama went on in the expenses department below…
EXPENSES
We spent €10,002.55 this month.
Florence has wanted to get Invisalign dental treatment done for many years, and she’d planned to get them done in Budapest in the summer when we got to Hungary.
However, those plans to visit Budapest took a twist when we decided to move to Las Vegas in July for 3 months instead!
Anyway, the Invisalign treatment cost €3,400 and for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing, she’s going to be doing a series of videos down the line documenting the 24 months that the treatment will take.
You’ll be able to find details about that on the blog at some stage down the line.
As I said above, we’ve decided to move to Las Vegas for the summer as it’s somewhere we’ve been many times over the years and we absolutely love it there.
It’s personally a huge bucket item for us as we’ve wanted to live there for the max we could (3 months), so there’s no better time than the present we thought.
Actually, what really happened was we were watching a documentary about Vegas on youtube hosted by Piers Morgan, and Florence said she’d check to see what the price for flights were (just for the craic).
The next minute we had the flights booked in true Next Stop Who Knows fashion!
It’s probably going to be a nightmare trying to find suitable short-term accommodation out there, but we’ll worry about that later on!
Here’s a few notes about some of the expenses throughout the month:
- Dental filling: €60
- Invisalign Treatment: €3,400
- Return flights to Las Vegas from Frankfurt: €1,040
- New macbook pro charger: €60
- Taxis: €65.20
- Gareth Brooks tickets in Vegas: €157
- Car rental: €30
Negative Month
We had a loss of -€2,047.35 at the end of the month. Considering the spontaneous flights to Vegas and the huge Invisalign treatment bill, it wasn’t too bad of a loss.
We had the dental side of things planned, so it was a predetermined expense.
Forecast
We’re back on the road travelling again and after Greece we travelled around Albania for a week. We’re in Macedonia currently and will be travelling through Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia before we head state-side for the summer.
Hopefully things keep going stead on the business front. We expect to keep hitting the €6,000 – €8,000 mark each month the way things currently are.
Snapchat
Snapchat is where we’re investing a lot of time the past 6 months. We’ve been working hard on building up a following over there, so if you’d like to follow us, then screenshot the image below and add us on Snapchat! Username on = nxtstopwhoknows
