May 2016 Income/Expense Report
Hey guys! You’re here because you’ve signed up to receive our monthly income & expenses reports.
The primary goal of these income reports is to give you an idea of how we manage our online endeavours, and to give you an indication of how much it costs to live and travel in the countries that we do. We figured they will also be a great motivator for us to keep striving towards bigger numbers in terms of income at the end of every month.
If you’re new to the blog, you’ll see that our main source of income is our content creation agency that we built-up from scratch back in late 2012. You can read more about how we make money online here.
Anyway, let’s get down to business…
The report below is a breakdown of our total income for the month of May 2016 as well as a rundown of our expenses and it also states the profit or loss figure after all is said and done.

It’s been a rather quick, yet long month since the last income report from Macedonia.
After Macedonia we travelled into Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Croatia and currently we’re in northern Bosnia in a city called Banja Luka.
This income report for May will cover the income we generated and the expenses we incurred while travelling through those above countries.
€7,635.24 in total income for this month.
Slightly less than the previous month, but we’re very happy with that figure, considering the amount of time we spent travelling over the month.
Thankfully though, there’s not as much drama this month in relation to our expenses….
We spent €6,074.65 this month. That’s a significant decrease of about €4,000+ from last month. As we detailed last month, Florence paid for her Invisalign dental treatment, so that added a sizeable hole to the monthly profit margin.
Here’s a few notes about some of the expenses throughout the month:
- Flight: Trieste to Dublin: €180
- Flight: Dublin to Frankfurt: €165
- Amazon: Z1 Smooth C iphone gimbal: €215
- Amazon: Gorilla tripod + accessories: €55
- Website Work: €156
We had a profit of +€1,560.59 at the end of the month.
June will hopefully be somewhere around the same figures we’re hoping.
However, July, August and September are going to be extremely expensive months for us as we’re moving to Las Vegas for the summer.
Yes, we’re crazy!
We’ll be lucky to break even if the income levels stay the same….and that’s without any fun at the poker tables!
It’s been ridiculously difficult for us to find short-term accommodation in Vegas….somewhere that has a pool, full-kitchen and is relatively close to the strip.
We’ve been to Vegas many times before, but not to live, so we’ve a good idea of how much it’s potentially going to cost us living there for the three months.
If any of you have any ideas about possible accommodation options in Vegas, then we’d love for you to get in contact with us. 🙂
Snapchat is where we’re investing a lot of time the past 6 months. We’ve been working hard on building up a following over there, so if you’d like to follow us, then screenshot the image below and add us on Snapchat! Username on = nxtstopwhoknows
